Flow Instrumentation
Flow measurement and control instruments for critical flow requirements. Designed for high accuracy, reliability and repeatability for the semiconductor, medical, laser, biotechnology, water treatment, chemical, and petrochemical industries. All products are manufactured to conform to ISO 9001:2015.
Flow Meters
Flow meters are devices used to measure the volume or mass of a gas or liquid. Malema offers advanced flow meters for high purity, chemical, bio-medical and industrial applications for measuring flow of liquids, slurries, gases, and steam. Malema pioneered by introducing all PFA and all PEEK Coriolis mass flow meters, straight tube PFA ultrasonic flow meters, and PFA Paddlewheel flow meters to suit the stringent purity requirements of the industry.
Flow Switches
Flow switches are devices used to control the flow of liquid or gas through a designated channel. Malema flow switches are used to determine if the flow rate is above or below a certain flow rate. This value (the set point) can be fixed or adjustable. When the set point is reached, the response can be the actuation of an electric circuit. When the flow switch is actuated, it will stay in that condition until the flow rate moves back from the set point by some amount.
Flow Controllers
Flow controllers are devices used to monitor and maintain flow rate variables, typically in-process applications. Malema offers advanced flow controllers using Coriolis and Ultrasonic flow measuring technologies. They are designed to suit high purity applications for controlling flow of DI water, Chemicals, and Slurries. These closed-loop flow controllers come in various shapes and sizes to meet the installation requirements of large semiconductor equipment manufacturers. In addition, Malema™ flow controllers can also be used as standalone controllers in chemical dosing and flow control applications.
Pressure Sensors
Pressure sensors are devices used to detect, regulate, or monitor pressure. Malema’s KL Series pressure sensors are designed to meet the requirements such as contamination-free wetted parts, minimum dead volume, and resistance to tough chemicals used in semiconductor manufacturing, chemical processing, and biopharmaceutical industries. They are available in single port or inline flow-through designs with tube connection as well as Flare or Pillar type end-connections. In addition to providing different analog outputs options, a local display version with alarm outputs is also available with KL95 model pressure sensor.
Relief Valves
Relief valves are devices used to control pressure in a system, most often in fluid or compressed air systems. Malema offers PFA and PTFE pressure relief valves that are suitable for installation on pressurized systems used in semiconductor manufacturing, chemical processing, and biopharmaceutical industries. They come with a bubble-tight seal and factory set for the relief pressure.
Excess Flow Valves
Excess flow valves are devices used to protect personnel, equipment and facilities in event of catastrophic line breaks. Malema excess flow valves are currently being used to control fluids including air, steam, nitrogen gas, oxygen gas, hydrogen gas, carbon dioxide gas, water, anhydrous ammonia, sulfuric acid, natural gas, gasoline, propane, and hydrocarbons.
Level Instruments
Malema in association with Tecfluid, brings a complete range of level indicators; level transmitters and level switches, in float style, displacement style, vibrating fork style as well as non-contact verions such as ultrasonic and reflex radar level instruments.
They are available in various materials of construction options suitable for use in both clean and corrosive environments. Some of these instruments are also suitable for solids level measurement.
